Job Requirements

  • a high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous hospital or clinical experience preferred
  • ability to work independently
  • good communication, telephone, and human relation skills
  • strong problem solving skills
  • ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress
  • able to work varied hours including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends with rotating days off
  • valid driver’s license
  • excellent driving record

Job Duties

  • assist patients and guests to and from cars, courtesy vans, shuttle buses, or taxis
  • offer direction support and mobility assistance to visitors
  • answer general questions from patients and guests
  • keep patient loading zones clear
  • transport patients, their personal belongings, or selected medical devices
  • call, record, and monitor taxi cabs and courtesy vehicles daily
  • assist and support valet operations as directed
  • sanitize equipment used to support patients
  • assist with traffic control in drive-up lanes
  • perform wheelchair recovery duties in hospital, clinic floors, hotels, and other campus areas
