Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment preferred
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle high activity levels and manual labor
  • Ability to push or pull service carts weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to lift, carry or move goods up to 100 lbs on hand carts or trucks
  • Ability to perform constant twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must adhere to all company safety and security policies
  • Must maintain neat and clean personal appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current food handler card
  • Knowledge of service ware maintenance to complement guest experience
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machine per hotel and health department standards
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product use within the hotel

Job Duties

  • Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for proper cleaning
  • Quickly wash all ware and replace in designated storage areas
  • Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards
  • Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely
  • Perform general and routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
  • Clean and dry floors to avoid slip and fall accidents
  • Separate linen from other debris
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to management
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
  • Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and rules
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Assist other kitchen personnel when needed
  • Perform any related duties as requested by management
