Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment preferred
- Physical strength and stamina to handle high activity levels and manual labor
- Ability to push or pull service carts weighing up to 100 lbs
- Ability to lift, carry or move goods up to 100 lbs on hand carts or trucks
- Ability to perform constant twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must adhere to all company safety and security policies
- Must maintain neat and clean personal appearance
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current food handler card
- Knowledge of service ware maintenance to complement guest experience
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machine per hotel and health department standards
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product use within the hotel
Job Duties
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for proper cleaning
- Quickly wash all ware and replace in designated storage areas
- Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely
- Perform general and routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- Clean and dry floors to avoid slip and fall accidents
- Separate linen from other debris
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions to management
- Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
- Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and rules
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Assist other kitchen personnel when needed
- Perform any related duties as requested by management
