Job Duties

  • Scrape/rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
  • Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all outlined safety procedures including use of cut gloves when handling and cleaning knives
  • Maintain and track temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards and notify supervisor if levels are off
  • Clean and maintain dish area in an orderly manner to include mats, clear walkway, and compliance with safety standards
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors at appropriate intervals
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned
  • Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers
  • Steam clean or hose out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards
  • Assist with loading or unloading supplies and product
  • Perform other functions and duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and encourage teamwork and direct communication with co-workers
  • Contribute to quality improvement by identifying problems and seeking solutions
  • Participate in departmental efforts to monitor and report customer service
