Job Requirements
- maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time while performing with quality and accuracy
- withstand exposure to possible food allergens including but not limited to
- meats, fish, nuts, dairy, and oils
- withstand exposure to and work with cleaning chemicals
- lift up to 80lbs constantly
- lift from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently
- twist, reach, and bend frequently
- listen to and comprehend instructions from leads, managers, and coworkers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantly
- frequently wash hands
- adhere to schedule and be on time for shifts
- adhere to company uniform and appearance policy
Job Qualifications
- high school degree or equivalent preferred
- one year experience in related industry preferred
- good communication skills
- friendly and polite demeanor
- strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- strong interpersonal skills
- team player
Job Duties
- clean the cooking areas, utensils, and equipment with cleaning chemicals in the kitchen as necessary
- safely handle food prep equipment such as dish machine, and knives
- wash and sorts trays, utensils, and equipment parts as needed
- empty trash cans and take out garbage
- light stocking
- sweep, mop, and keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice
- general cleanliness of the restaurant
- receive truck orders, verify correct inventory, and put all items away in an organized manner
- put away delivery orders according to food hierarchy
- practice safe food handling and cleanliness at all times
- assist with food prep and adhere to company recipes and production levels
