Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is helpful
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • ability to lift moderate weights safely
  • must follow all health, safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • must be reliable and punctual
  • good communication skills

  • Ability to provide professional and courteous guest service
  • good time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • good organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

  • experience in a similar role is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Assist all guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • perform job duties and responsibilities cost effectively within budgetary guidelines
  • load, run and unload the dish machine and keep it clean
  • report any functional or mechanical problems promptly to management
  • monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycles
  • wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  • maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen use
  • handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster as needed
  • clean food preparation and production areas as needed
  • assist kitchen staff as necessary to ensure efficient kitchen operation
  • maintain a clean, organized and appropriately stocked work area
  • thoroughly complete any assigned set-up, side work or closing duties
  • communicate with management and associates through daily communication and attend required meetings
  • understand and apply all facility safety and security procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • keep supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters
  • perform all other duties as assigned
