Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the age of hire unless otherwise required by state law
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Provide exceptional service and maintain a positive attitude throughout the entire shift
- Support other back of house functions as needed ensuring that all areas of the restaurant run smoothly is a shared responsibility among the team
- Communicate positively with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently under pressure
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive team player attitude
Job Duties
- Arrive on time in full uniform and ready to work
- Work directly with team members to ensure all needs are met in a timely manner
- Maintain proper food handling procedures and ensure sanitation of work areas complying with food handling requirements
- Work closely with team members to ensure safety and sanitation protocols are followed according to company standards
- Collect bus tubs and dirty dishes from both front of house and back of house areas
- Ensure a steady supply of clean dishes glassware and utensils for cooks servers and bartenders
- Re-stock areas for easy access by other staff members
- Provide support to cooks as needed including occasional station assignments
- Communicate with fellow team members and management to stay informed and ensure smooth operations
- Maintain clean and organized work areas including sweeping and mopping when necessary
- Assist with overall kitchen cleanliness including taking out trash
- Complete running and end-of-shift side work ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next dishwasher
- Notify management immediately of any potential problems or issues
