Job Requirements

  • Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time while performing with quality and accuracy
  • withstand exposure to possible food allergens including but not limited to
  • meats, fish, nuts, dairy, and oils
  • withstand exposure to and work with cleaning chemicals
  • lift up to 80lbs constantly
  • lift from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently
  • twist, reach, and bend frequently
  • listen to and comprehend instructions from leads, managers, and coworkers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantly
  • frequently wash hands
  • adhere to schedule and be on time for shifts
  • adhere to company uniform and appearance policy

Job Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year experience in related industry preferred
  • good communication skills
  • friendly and polite demeanor
  • strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • team player

Job Duties

  • Clean the cooking areas, utensils, and equipment with cleaning chemicals in the kitchen as necessary
  • safely handle food prep equipment such as dish machine, and knives
  • wash and sort trays, utensils, and equipment parts as needed
  • empty trash cans and take out garbage
  • light stocking
  • sweep, mop, and keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice (weather depending)
  • general cleanliness of the restaurant
  • receive truck orders, verify correct inventory, and put all items away in an organized manner
  • put away delivery orders according to food hierarchy
  • practice safe food handling and cleanliness at all times
  • assist with food prep and adhere to company recipes and production levels
