Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • current California Food Handlers Card
  • ability to read two and three syllable words
  • speak and understand English
  • recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • apply common sense to carry out instructions
  • physical ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to work in wet, humid, cold or hot conditions
  • ability to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed
  • follow safety and security procedures
  • ability to attend all restaurant meetings
  • dependable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience
  • current California Food Handlers Card
  • ability to read two and three syllable words
  • recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions

Job Duties

  • Clean and put away all plates, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • operate and maintain dish machine
  • take out trash, mop restaurant floors and maintain general restaurant cleanliness inside and out from curb to curb
  • bus tables and maintain dining room cleanliness and sanitation
  • receive and store all orders properly
  • assist in food preparation as needed
  • perform other duties or work in multiple departments as assigned
  • work on special projects or assist with other operations tasks as directed
  • follow any changes in job duties or responsibilities as assigned by management
