Job Requirements
- Availability to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Servsafe food handlers certification
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift heavy objects (20-50 pounds)
- Ability to handle high noise and activity level environments
- Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation standards
- Manual dexterity for loading, unloading, and scrubbing dishes
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Punctuality and reliability
- Willingness to learn and perform additional kitchen tasks as needed
Job Qualifications
- Work experience as a dishwasher preferred, but not required
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
- Servsafe food handlers certification required
- General understanding of basic food preparation tasks
- An eagerness to perform daily and to learn new skills to progress in a fine dining atmosphere
- Availability and willingness to open/close the restaurant regularly and meet and exceed expectations on open/closing routines and tasks
Job Duties
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machines
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
- Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
- Check washing machines operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
- Remove garbage regularly
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
