Job Requirements
- Dishwasher experience strongly preferred
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation according to standards
- Capability to follow safety procedures
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Flexibility to work multiple shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in dishwashing or related kitchen sanitation preferred
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, pots, pans, and trays
- Polishes silverware using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth
- Ensures compliance with safety procedures and maintains safety standards in the dish area
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers, steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Helps load and unload supplies and product
- Performs other duties as assigned
