Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to read and understand English
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions including heat, cold, and humidity
- Flexibility to work in multiple departments and undertake special projects
- Commitment to following safety and sanitation procedures
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to respond to management directions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to read two and three syllable words
- Recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
Job Duties
- Clean and put away all plates, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Operate and maintain dish machine
- Take out trash, mop restaurant floors and maintain general restaurant cleanliness inside and out from curb to curb
- Bus tables and maintain dining room cleanliness and sanitation
- Receive and store all orders properly
- Assist in food preparation as needed
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Adapt to multi-department assignments and special projects
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards as certified
