Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Washing and catching dishes/silverware through dish machine
  • keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems
  • monitor dish machine water temperature/chemical level to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  • keep dish room, rest rooms, and food preparations areas clean and organized
  • maintain adequate levels of clean tableware/plateware for dining room and kitchen
  • monitor linen and trash containers and empty when appropriate
  • understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
  • washing metal pots and pans through 3 compartment sink by hand
  • washing and lifting glass racks with glass washer
  • overall cleanliness of kitchen (sweeping, mopping, breaking down boxes, removal of trash, and more)
  • receiving deliveries and restocking shelves
  • flexible during shift to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed
