Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales experience
- prior director of sales experience preferred
- strong understanding of hotel revenue drivers, segmentation, and commercial strategy
- knowledge of travel industry trends, local market dynamics, and economic factors
- proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new business
- demonstrated success in developing and delivering sales presentations and proposals
- ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly
- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
- proficiency in hotel systems, including CRM, PMS, and revenue management tools

Job Duties
- Lead development and execution of the annual sales and marketing plan aligned with revenue goals and market opportunities
- drive total hotel revenue through strategic management of group, transient, and catering/event segments
- develop and implement sales strategies that increase awareness, demand, and market share
- partner with the general manager on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- analyze competitive data, demand trends, and market conditions to inform pricing and business mix strategies
- direct and manage all sales activities to ensure achievement of revenue targets and performance goals
- prepare and deliver monthly forecasts, reports, and performance insights
- build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, accounts, and community partners
- represent the hotel in the local market through networking, events, and industry engagement
- collaborate with operations to ensure seamless execution of group and event business
- maintain accurate data and reporting within CRM, PMS, and revenue systems
- lead, coach, and develop the sales team, fostering accountability and performance
- maintain a visible presence within the hotel to support team members and client relationships
- perform other duties as assigned to support business needs
