Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales experience
  • prior director of sales experience preferred
  • strong understanding of hotel revenue drivers, segmentation, and commercial strategy
  • knowledge of travel industry trends, local market dynamics, and economic factors
  • proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new business
  • demonstrated success in developing and delivering sales presentations and proposals
  • ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
  • proficiency in hotel systems, including CRM, PMS, and revenue management tools

Job Duties

  • Lead development and execution of the annual sales and marketing plan aligned with revenue goals and market opportunities
  • drive total hotel revenue through strategic management of group, transient, and catering/event segments
  • develop and implement sales strategies that increase awareness, demand, and market share
  • partner with the general manager on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • analyze competitive data, demand trends, and market conditions to inform pricing and business mix strategies
  • direct and manage all sales activities to ensure achievement of revenue targets and performance goals
  • prepare and deliver monthly forecasts, reports, and performance insights
  • build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, accounts, and community partners
  • represent the hotel in the local market through networking, events, and industry engagement
  • collaborate with operations to ensure seamless execution of group and event business
  • maintain accurate data and reporting within CRM, PMS, and revenue systems
  • lead, coach, and develop the sales team, fostering accountability and performance
  • maintain a visible presence within the hotel to support team members and client relationships
  • perform other duties as assigned to support business needs
