Job Requirements
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Previous sales experience in a comparable hotel size and scope required
- Operations experience preferred
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Delphi, and access database tools
- Ability to travel locally as required
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
- Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 10 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Additional or advanced degree coursework in business administration, marketing, or communications is a plus
- Previous sales experience in a comparable hotel size and scope
- Operations experience preferred
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Delphi, and access database tools
Job Duties
- Develop and execute sales plans that leverage direct sales, e-commerce, public relations, and community partnerships to drive revenue
- Build, mentor, and inspire the sales team while fostering a culture of empowerment and service excellence
- Achieve annual hotel revenue goals by identifying customer requirements and crafting tailored offers
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to maximize revenue share
- Use professional negotiation techniques to close sales opportunities and articulate the unique benefits of the hotels
- Conduct local travel for outside sales calls, hotel promotion, and competition review
- Monitor sales team performance, address shortfalls, and ensure annual revenue targets are met
