Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED certificate required
  • minimum five years experience as director of food and beverage or similar role
  • previous hotel managerial experience preferred
  • able to stay on feet for over eight hours
  • able to work well under stress and pressure
  • able to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • coordinate, supervise, and direct all front of the house food and beverage operations
  • develop short-term financial and operational plans for front of house F&B venues
  • schedule team members and manage labor costs
  • ensure adherence to brand standards in F&B operations
  • conduct daily pre-shift meetings and review daily specials
  • review performance evaluations and recognize team members
  • coach, counsel, and discipline team members
  • monitor performance through guest feedback and financial reports
  • inspect operations for quality service and cleanliness
  • participate in inventories and implement loss reduction programs
  • create sales-increasing incentive programs
  • maintain communication lines with team members and departments
  • respond quickly to guest requests and complaints
  • recruit and staff department according to hiring standards
  • conduct staff training on safety and service procedures
  • fulfill manager-on-duty shifts
  • ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • conduct productive monthly meetings for problem solving and communication
  • oversee new hire orientation and ongoing training
  • implement sales promotions and gather feedback
  • prepare and submit required reports
  • maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • ensure compliance with liquor laws and safety regulations
  • assist in menu planning and preparation
  • maintain cleaning schedules and side work
  • assist with budgeting and payroll
  • provide responsible alcohol service
  • ensure completion of alcohol awareness and food handler safety training
  • manage alcohol inventory and equipment maintenance
  • assist beverage manager with cost control
  • perform other duties as assigned
