Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum five years foodservice operational management experience
  • culinary and hospitality knowledge
  • ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • strong leadership and team-building skills
  • excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • servsafe certification
  • ability to work under stress and adapt
  • ability to maintain compliance with health and safety standards
  • proficiency with computer applications
  • commitment to customer service excellence
  • capacity to mentor and develop staff

Job Qualifications

  • b.s. degree in food services technology, management, or related field preferred
  • five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience
  • strong knowledge of food, catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
  • previous profit and loss accountability or contract-managed service experience desirable
  • strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills
  • strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to communicate effectively with management, clients, customers, and associates
  • excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills
  • proficient in computer programs, microsoft office, email, and internet
  • servsafe certified

Job Duties

  • develop and implement overall operating strategy aligned with business goals
  • take full ownership of driving outcomes and hold leadership accountable
  • evaluate personnel and operations to recommend improvements
  • maintain compliance with health regulations and company standards
  • lead safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs
  • conduct pre-meal briefings and staff meetings for communication
  • advise executives and team on relevant information
  • understand market dynamics to diagnose strengths and weaknesses
  • manage budgets and analyze financial performance
  • coach team to manage wages, food and beverage costs, and expenses
  • review financial reports and develop improvement strategies
  • prioritize client’s business model to meet resident needs
  • build and maintain relationships with residents and staff
  • review resident satisfaction and implement corrective actions
  • provide mentorship and coaching to improve service
  • introduce new food and beverage products to meet expectations
  • empower employees to provide excellent service
  • lead team member meetings regularly
  • create positive work environment and motivate team

  • solicit employee feedback and address concerns
  • coach and mentor team for development
