Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in hospitality management, business, culinary arts, or relevant field
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive management experience in a large volume residential dining or multi-unit restaurant environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions and act in a dynamic working environment
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple constituents

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Director in planning and administration of dining program with financial responsibility
  • Develop strategic plans to guide the department's future growth
  • Analyze dining operations to enhance collaboration and employee morale
  • Participate in administrative meetings and serve on committees
  • Cultivate a respectful and cooperative work environment for a diverse workforce
  • Manage multi-million-dollar budgets including cost control and revenue generation
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a high-performing workforce
  • Monitor dining units to ensure service quality, food preparation, and presentation standards
  • Maintain communications with customers, student groups, vendors, and campus departments
  • Resolve problems and customer complaints professionally
  • Oversee logistics coordination of large campus events
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Coordinate food services for special functions and maintain quality assurance
  • Promote program enhancements, sustainability, and team accomplishments
  • Assess dining performance and recommend improvements
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of dining facilities and equipment
  • Ensure adherence to university policies and maintain records and reports
  • Identify inefficiencies in reporting and data processes and implement improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
