Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or culinary school certificate or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of senior living general management experience
  • Certified ServSafe
  • Certified in Choke Safety
  • Certified in Allergen Awareness (MA)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to lift or pull 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Direct and assist the kitchen team with menu writing, cost control, production, and presentation
  • Manage quality of all food products and uphold standards
  • Oversee catering operations and support catering team
  • Participate in food production including grab-and-go, desserts, specialties, and catering
  • Maintain vendor and client relationships
  • Oversee supplies, equipment, and work area maintenance
  • Arrange equipment purchases and repairs
  • Coordinate purchasing of food and supplies
  • Determine production schedules and staffing needs including recruitment
  • Manage payroll processing and financial functions
  • Engage in team activities such as cleaning and dishwashing alongside staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food handling, sanitation, and uniform standards
  • Manage department expenses and adherence to budget guidelines
  • Generate financial reports and perform P&L analysis
  • Develop operational forecasts and oversee accounting functions
  • Manage inventory and update for price changes
  • Provide leadership and performance management to team
  • Motivate and communicate with employees consistently
  • Train staff in food preparation, presentation, and customer service
  • Deliver superior customer service, lead by example, and engage with customers
