Job Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- completion of recognized food safety course
- minimum five years experience as executive chef or culinary leadership
- minimum three years experience in food service administration and management
- preferred experience in senior living community
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage budgets and staff
- commitment to upholding organizational policies and values
Job Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- successful completion of a recognized food safety course
- minimum of five years experience as an executive chef, chef in a hotel, restaurant, or club
- minimum of three years experience in administration and management of food service systems
- senior living community experience preferred
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive culinary services program to create a positive customer experience
- supervise the Culinary Services Department including hiring, assigning work, appraising performance, and employee discipline
- research, plan, and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary regulations
- meet or exceed budgetary and financial guidelines
- perform hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as needed
- ensure professional, trained, and properly uniformed staff
- evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance through resident visits and operational reviews
- support a culture that drives top-line revenue and occupancy through business decisions and employee engagement
