Job Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • completion of recognized food safety course
  • minimum five years experience as executive chef or culinary leadership
  • minimum three years experience in food service administration and management
  • preferred experience in senior living community
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage budgets and staff
  • commitment to upholding organizational policies and values

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • successful completion of a recognized food safety course
  • minimum of five years experience as an executive chef, chef in a hotel, restaurant, or club
  • minimum of three years experience in administration and management of food service systems
  • senior living community experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive culinary services program to create a positive customer experience
  • supervise the Culinary Services Department including hiring, assigning work, appraising performance, and employee discipline
  • research, plan, and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary regulations
  • meet or exceed budgetary and financial guidelines
  • perform hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as needed
  • ensure professional, trained, and properly uniformed staff
  • evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance through resident visits and operational reviews
  • support a culture that drives top-line revenue and occupancy through business decisions and employee engagement
