Job Requirements
- Food Service Manager Certificate or equivalent
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in dining services with management or leadership role
- SERV Safe Certification
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- strong customer service skills
- knowledge of nutritional needs of assisted living residents
- ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk intermittently
- ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and carry heavy objects up to 20 feet
- strong organizational skills
- neat and clean public appearance
Job Qualifications
- Food Service Manager Certificate or meeting regulatory requirements
- working knowledge of food service operations, preferably in senior care
- high school graduate
- management or leadership experience in dining services
- SERV Safe Certification
- strong customer service and communication skills
- knowledge of nutritional needs of assisted living residents
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- leadership and supervisory skills
- ability to train staff
Job Duties
- Hire, train, and supervise dining services staff
- develop and maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
- ensure compliance with health laws and regulations
- prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- manage food ordering, inventory, and equipment maintenance
- conduct food committee meetings with resident representatives
- plan and supervise dining services marketing functions
- prepare and post monthly menus
- ensure quality control and food portion management
- provide excellent customer service
- attend staff meetings and training sessions
- meet and interact with new residents
- maintain confidentiality of resident information
- develop preventive maintenance program for dining equipment
