Job Requirements

  • Valid California driver license
  • Candidate must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Completion of satisfactory background check
  • Completion of Live Scan background check
  • Satisfactory physical exam
  • Compliance with California DMV Pull Notice System
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to remain calm under adverse situations

Job Qualifications

  • Six to twelve months experience as a food server in a restaurant, casual or fine dining setting
  • One or more years guest service experience in a fast-paced restaurant preferred
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations respectfully and culturally responsively
  • Ability to remain calm under customer dissatisfaction
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare beverages and perform single-step food preparation tasks
  • Compliant with safety and sanitation standards
  • Adequate math skills for transactions
  • Skilled in guest, team, and manager interactions using positive body language and professional demeanor
  • Working knowledge of basic culinary techniques, terminology, and practices preferred
  • Working knowledge of alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, and spirits preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide courteous and gracious dining service to guests
  • Serve as wait staff, buffet attendant, and bar and lounge service
  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly
  • Make beverage and menu recommendations
  • Answer questions about beverages and menus
  • Deliver and serve food and beverage items timely
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards for food service
