Job Requirements

  • must be physically able to efficiently perform duties including standing and lifting up to 10 lbs over 2/3 of the day
  • walking, use of hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talk or hear
  • lifting up to 25 lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the day
  • sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 100 lbs under 1/3 of the day
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or related field
  • ability to work weekends and some holidays
  • availability for various shifts including 1st and 2nd shifts and weekends

Job Duties

  • perform a variety of tasks necessary to assist in the care and maintenance of work area, equipment and supplies
  • perform various tasks necessary to assist the cooks with the preparation of scheduled meals
  • carry out functions necessary to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
  • plan, organize, and perform functions necessary to prepare breakfast, dinner, supper and other events for dining rooms
  • keep the dining rooms and kitchens clean and organized
  • maintain an adequate supply of food items needed for meals and/or snacks
