Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Ability to provide professional and courteous customer service
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to manage confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle financial transactions accurately

Job Qualifications

  • One or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple phone lines and schedule appointments
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and Infection Control regulations
  • Experience with financial transactions and patient payment management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in customer service and administrative duties

Job Duties

  • Works with faculty, peers, and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care
  • Checks patients in daily, confirming their contact information, current insurance, and consent forms
  • Registers new patients when needed
  • Verifies insurance and details benefit coverage for patients when appropriate
  • Conducts financial transactions, accepts and posts payments, issues receipts, and balances cash drawer at end of day
  • Creates, reviews, and manages payment plans with patients
  • Answers the phone in a timely and professional manner, managing a multi-line system
  • Schedules patient appointments as necessary
  • Maintains HIPAA, OSHA and Infection Control compliance at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
