Job Requirements
- Possess a legally required state driver's license
- meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements
- driving record must comply with company 14/18-point record system
- ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- strong interpersonal communication skills
- adaptability to delivery changes
- willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
- ability to maintain security of company assets during deliveries
- reliable and punctual
- physical ability to perform job tasks including vehicle inspections and lifting moderate weight
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid state driver's license meeting company requirements
- clean driving record as per company standards
- strong interpersonal communication skills
- ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations
- familiarity with automotive parts preferred
- bilingual ability, especially Spanish, is highly desired
- basic proficiency with delivery handheld devices and fleet management technology
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner
- use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections
- maintain cleanliness and upkeep of delivery vehicles
- secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected
- pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips
- communicate customer issues or special needs to store management
- report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately
- ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is secured at end of day
- clock in/out according to company policy
- assist with customer service, merchandising, stocking, cash register operations, and other duties as assigned
