Job Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • possess a valid driver's license
  • meet company driving record criteria
  • pass Department of Transportation physical exam before employment and biennially thereafter
  • ability to safely operate a vehicle over 10,000 lbs
  • ability to lift and carry warehouse materials
  • available to work full-time or part-time shifts
  • willing to complete required safety and compliance training
  • able to follow company safety guidelines
  • have reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license
  • clean driving record meeting company standards
  • ability to pass Department of Transportation physical exams
  • outstanding customer service skills
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to learn warehouse safety protocols
  • ability to safely operate forklift and material handling equipment
  • proficiency in English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
  • basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • ability to develop product knowledge
  • ability to build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer return material
  • stock and maintain the warehouse
  • pick, document, and pack customer orders according to company policy
  • handle shipping discrepancies or forward paperwork to designated employee
  • identify and store nonstock, special-order, and damaged material properly
  • complete documentation for customer shipments via third-party carriers
  • load and unload trucks
  • operate forklift and other material handling equipment safely
  • inform supervisor of stock issues, discrepancies, or defective merchandise
  • ensure security controls protect Profit Center assets
  • maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety
  • assist coworkers in customer service
  • perform all tasks following company safety standards
  • complete required safety and compliance training
  • operate delivery trucks safely and in compliance with laws
  • load trucks securely
  • understand shipping documents and delivery details
  • review shipping documentation for accuracy
  • unload merchandise and obtain customer signatures
  • collect payments for cash sale deliveries
  • resolve shipping discrepancies at delivery sites
  • load trucks at other locations
  • provide sales leads
  • inspect and maintain vehicle safety
  • complete driver’s daily vehicle inspection reports
  • secure truck keys after work
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
