Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license for state of residency with excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL), not required for hire
- Ability to pass and maintain D.O.T. physical requirements
Job Qualifications
- Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising, or retail management experience strongly preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be self-motivated with high integrity
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and timely manner
- Dependability, initiative, professional demeanor, and sound judgment
- Ability to work in fast-paced continuous lifting environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
- Availability and willingness to work some weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Learn to drive a Class A CDL vehicle and obtain required licensing within 10 weeks of training start date
- Under supervision learn processes and gain skills needed to service customers using all delivery equipment and handheld invoicing devices
- Begin and end shift check-in and out accounting procedures for cash and paperwork accountability
- Properly secure company assets and inventory while safely handling products at customer locations
- Learn and develop merchandising techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and meet merchandising standards
- Understand and execute commercial plans in customer outlets
- Develop good rotation practices and build and maintain product displays and backroom management
- Develop customer service skills by working with customers and communicating service issues to management
- Adhere to safety standards, promote personal safety, and learn Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and DOT hours of service
