Job Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- ABC Beer permit
- Driving record within Company Driving Points Policy
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles and equipment safely
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials
- Ability to work in somewhat disagreeable outdoor conditions
- Willingness to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Availability to attend scheduled meetings and functions
- Support for company policies and teamwork ethos
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Three to five years of relevant experience or training
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions
- Proficiency in arithmetic including decimals and fractions
- Capability to perform minor decisions using job knowledge
- Familiarity with delivery equipment and transportation regulations
- Valid CDL-A license and ABC Beer permit
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Physical ability to perform demanding lifting and movement tasks
Job Duties
- Represent Caffey Distributing Company/Carolina Premium Beverage in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service
- Assist Delivery Manager and Area Delivery Managers in promotion of safe work practices
- Confer with Area Delivery Managers to resolve customer problems, opportunities, competitive activity, and potential overage situations
- Attend all scheduled meetings and company functions as required
- Adhere to dress code and maintain proper grooming
- Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Familiarize with all routes and departments to ensure flexibility
- Operate delivery equipment and vehicles safely
- Maintain good relationships with store managers and customers
- Handle invoicing and payment collection
- Restock displays, coolers, and cold boxes, enforcing product rotation
- Adhere to company overage policy
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine truck maintenance
- Maintain safe driving record and comply with company policies
- Keep regular communication with the office
- Maintain confidentiality of sales trends and account history
