Job Requirements
- Physical ability to perform visual, auditory, physical, and mental tasks required for safe equipment operation
- Frequent lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds
- Ability to exert pushing force up to 40 pounds
- Experience handling commercial tires through team lifts or mechanical equipment
- Adherence to protective equipment policies including steel or composite toe boots, safety vests, safety harness, and seatbelts
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to comply with safety and manufacturer guidelines for all protective equipment
- Willingness to work approximately 8-12 hours per day
- Ability to operate handheld devices for delivery tracking
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record per company policy
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- One year of professional driving experience with cube vans, box trucks, or semi-trucks
- Successful completion of company road test
- Ability to be trained and safely operate powered industrial trucks and high reach lifts
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
- Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test excluding THC/marijuana
- Possess a valid DOT medical card
Job Duties
- Drive a box truck under 26,001 pounds or other vehicles to complete 10-20 deliveries per day
- Complete and maintain accurate driver logs, fuel purchase logs, and other records as per company policy and legal requirements
- Make timely deliveries at customer locations in a safe and punctual manner under all weather conditions
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the assigned vehicle
- Lift up to 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds, using team lifts or mechanical equipment for heavy items
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when required
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management and collect payments upon delivery
