Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal or state department(s) of transportation regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical as trucks driven are over 10,000 lbs
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • Clean shaven as required

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal or state department(s) of transportation regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical as trucks driven are over 10,000 lbs
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Clean shaven as required by some customers
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Operates vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
  • Maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
  • Assists with loading or loads and unloads goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed
  • Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork and delivers documentation to appropriate staff
  • Facilitates routine vehicle service including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, and reports maintenance issues to supervisor
  • Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
