Job Requirements

  • be at least 21 years old
  • possess a valid driver’s license
  • have a driving record that meets company policy for authorized drivers
  • pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting work and every two years thereafter
  • pass a government background check to receive clearance for military and government facility deliveries

  • have a driving record that meets company criteria for authorized drivers
  • be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination
  • pass a government background check for access to military bases and government facilities
  • know the laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles and commercial motor vehicles
  • understand and apply safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
  • build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • remain calm and function effectively in stressful or emergency situations
  • be able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
  • be able to learn and operate computer systems used in the delivery process
  • read, write, speak, and understand English
  • possess basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Duties

  • operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules and applicable laws
  • load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise and secure the load properly
  • understand the shipping documents and have accurate directions to each delivery destination
  • review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy
  • unload correct merchandise and obtain legible signatures per company policy
  • collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries
  • resolve shipping discrepancies with customers at delivery sites
  • load merchandise at other locations including vendor pickups and returns
  • provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses
  • inspect the truck and equipment to determine safe operating conditions
  • advise management of mechanical problems and complete daily vehicle inspection reports as required
  • remove keys from the truck and store in the approved location at the end of the workday
  • successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs
  • perform other related duties as assigned by management
