Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum one year experience in a professional driving role or equivalent position
- valid driver’s license for the appropriate class of vehicle
- must be able to lift 50 or more pounds independently
- must meet all physical requirements related to DOT and FMCSA regulations
- good communication skills
- ability to follow safety and transportation laws
- ability to work on-call shifts including evenings and weekends
- must maintain a safe driving record
- must be at least 18 years old (non-CDL drivers) or 21 years old (CDL drivers)
- basic computer skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum one year experience in professional driving role or equivalent position
- knowledge of home care or health care environment is a plus
- good interpersonal and communication skills including speaking and writing
- valid driver’s license for the appropriate class of vehicle
- ability to read and understand DOT and FDA paperwork
- strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- basic computer knowledge
- ability to lift 50+ pounds unassisted and heavier weights with assistance
- physical capability including maneuvering in restricted spaces and performing actions such as straight pulling, hand over hand pulling, reaching above shoulder, fine finger manipulation, and repeated bending
- ability to use hands, legs, and eyes simultaneously for vehicle operation
- good depth perception
- ability to lift up to 15 pounds above shoulder while loading and unloading
Job Duties
- Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
- adhere to assigned routes and schedules
- abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
- inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle ensuring safety during loading and unloading
- establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
- maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse adhering to all FDA protocols
- work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies according to company and local policies
