Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position
- valid driver’s license required
- meet all physical requirements related to DOT and FMCSA regulations
- must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
- non CDL drivers must be 18 or older
- CDL drivers must be 21 or older
- must maintain a valid driver’s license for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
- ability to lift 50+ pounds independently and excess of 50 pounds with mechanical or employee assistance
- ability to perform physical actions including straight pulling, hand-over-hand pulling, reaching above shoulder, fine manipulation, repeated bending
- ability to operate a vehicle using hands, legs, and eyes
- use depth perception
- ability to lift up to 15 pounds above the shoulder while loading and unloading
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position
- home care or health care background is a plus
- excellent communication skills including speaking and writing
- ability to read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
- strong customer service orientation
- basic computer knowledge
- ability to lift 50+ pounds independently and more with assistance
- valid driver’s license appropriate to class of vehicle driven
- mental alertness and critical thinking skills
- ability to maneuver in restricted spaces and perform physical tasks such as pulling, reaching above shoulder, fine manipulation, repeated bending
- positive and professional image conveyance
Job Duties
- Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
- adhere to assigned routes and schedules
- abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
- inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
- establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
- maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
- work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies
