Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • valid CDL-A license
  • minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
  • must be 21 years or older
  • meet all state licensing and certification requirements applicable
  • clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
  • pass post offer drug test
  • pass criminal background check
  • pass road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • able to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to handle freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds throughout shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
  • valid CDL-A license
  • must be 21 years or older
  • meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • pass road test
  • attain or currently hold valid DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move and stack product cases

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • report all safety issues and/or repairs required following DOT and company safe driving policies
  • immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • perform count check of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
  • complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
  • move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • drive and deliver customer orders according to route delivery schedule
  • unload products and transport items to designated customer storage areas
  • perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about order removals
  • verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • collect payments where required
  • load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and/or secured
  • unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • perform daily record of hours of service and enter log following DOT and company requirements
  • maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
  • secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end
  • perform other related duties as assigned
