Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- valid CDL-A license
- minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- must be 21 years or older
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test
- pass criminal background check
- pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- able to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to handle freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds throughout shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A license
- must be 21 years or older
- meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- attain or currently hold valid DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move and stack product cases
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- report all safety issues and/or repairs required following DOT and company safe driving policies
- immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- perform count check of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
- complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- drive and deliver customer orders according to route delivery schedule
- unload products and transport items to designated customer storage areas
- perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about order removals
- verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- collect payments where required
- load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and/or secured
- unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- perform daily record of hours of service and enter log following DOT and company requirements
- maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
- secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end
- perform other related duties as assigned
