Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Minimum 6 months commercial motor vehicle driving experience
  • Meet state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Hold or attain valid DOT health card
  • Ability to handle and move product cases between 10-90 pounds using required equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 6 months of commercial motor vehicle driving experience
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have a valid current DOT health card or be able to secure one
  • Able to hand-lift and use equipment like two-wheeler and lift gate to move products of varying sizes and weights

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
  • Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count checks of loaded items and verify customer invoices
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products and transport items into customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and notify supervisor for order removals
  • Verify delivery and obtain customer signatures, collect payments where required
  • Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and returns, complete necessary paperwork
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and maintain logs per Federal DOT and company requirements
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
  • Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
