Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
- Minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle
- Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
- Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations
- Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate
- Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
- Acceptable MVR per CORT's Safe Driving Standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including regular weekends, nights, and/or early mornings, and varied hours
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
- Minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
- Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations, including reading and speaking English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
- Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate
- Ability to pass road test per FMCSA/CORT requirements
- Acceptable MVR per CORT's Safe Driving Standards
Job Duties
- Loading trucks: inspect furniture to ensure acceptable condition, load truck safely to protect products from damage during transport, ensure accurate loading order of items to meet delivery specifications
- Operations planning & communication: attend pre-delivery meetings to review logistics, timelines, and client expectations, maintain regular communication with the operations team and/or district service representatives to report and/or resolve issues
- Truck inspections: complete pre and post trip truck inspections, clean and prep trucks for future shifts
- Documentation and service logs: complete all required written documentation, operate an electronic logging device and maintain all records of duty as determined by FMCSA
- Driving: drive box trucks or sprinter vans on delivery routes safely and lawfully
- Deliveries: install and assemble furniture at trade show or event venues based on floor plans or client instructions, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and aesthetic presentation, clean, touch up, or perform repairs as needed, use show site mobile app to document delivery
- Pick-ups: inspect furniture for customer-inflicted damage, load in trucks, ensure no product is left behind at venues
- Provide onsite customer service: interact professionally with clients during deliveries and setups, addressing questions or concerns
- Supervise temporary labor: instruct temporary associates how and where to deliver, pick up, load, or unload products onsite, ensure work is performed per client requests and safely
- Perform warehouse duties as needed: manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and docks, put items away and organize warehouse, unbox and clean products
- Other duties as assigned
