Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class being operated
- Clean driving record with minimal recent violations or accidents
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to manage schedules and documentation
- Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle cargo as needed
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a professional driver or in a customer-facing transportation role
- Certification in defensive driving or related safety training
- Familiarity with GPS and route planning technology
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse customers
- Knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns to optimize route efficiency
Job Duties
- Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to all customers
- Manage daily schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and any incidents or delays encountered during shifts
