Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
- Current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain detailed logs and reports
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- Working knowledge of PC and basic software applications
Job Qualifications
- Two years of work experience preferred
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and good knowledge of electrical products or systems preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license for company vehicle operation
- Current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows and Internet
- SAP software knowledge is a plus
Job Duties
- Provide delivery of material to Border States branches and customer sites based on business needs
- Maintain delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitor maintenance and mileage data if required
- Provide for regular maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, as appropriate
- Schedule DOT/state mandated inspection visits, as required
- Maintain daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets
- Complete truck summary, driver’s log and other backup detail daily, pay truck expenses and update appropriate records as appropriate
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Understand truck routes and coordinate deliveries with trucks, assigned freight companies or other carriers
- Load and unload material at branch and customer locations
- Perform warehouse functions including order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving and shipping as needed
- Assist with other duties or projects as assigned by supervisor or manager
- Conduct Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of daily route
- Check and pack material to be delivered
- Maintain shipping equipment and keep work area clean and safe
- Assist City Desk and Will Call areas in order entry, filling orders, processing returns, expediting, technical assistance, and customer service as needed
