Job Requirements
- Ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner
- Must undergo pre-employment drug test screening per HHS and SAMHSA guidelines
- Frequent driving in all weather conditions
- Adhere to safety regulations including exposure to excessive noise and moving machinery
- Frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Regularly handle objects and lift up to 75 pounds
- Physically qualified to drive vehicle per medical standards in Sec. 391.41
- Must pass Department of Transportation physical exam
- USDOT drug and alcohol testing regulations must be followed
- No acceptance of 'medical marijuana' as valid medical explanation under USDOT rules
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver's License in state of residence with 3 years driving history
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no type A violation or no more than one type B violation in past 3 years
- Previous experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with GVWR of 10,001 lbs or more
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze
- Ability to function independently and with close attention to detail
- Fluent in English
- Spanish language skills a plus
Job Duties
- Support warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes
- Ensure safe operation of vehicles
- Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders
- Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport
- Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying accuracy
- Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure maintenance and safety
- Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for delivery
- Maintain warehouse safety and orderliness
