Job Requirements
- junior high school diploma
- six months experience in distribution or warehouse environment
- experience in shipping/receiving or delivering merchandise
- ability to operate warehouse equipment and tools
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds and occasional heavier lifting
- ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- ability to communicate orally
- ability to exercise judgment and decision-making in routine tasks
- ability to follow instructions
- reliable and motivated
Job Qualifications
- junior high school diploma
- six months experience in distribution or warehouse environment
- experience in shipping/receiving or delivering merchandise
- ability to operate warehouse equipment
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- ability to follow written, oral or diagrammatic instructions
- good verbal communication skills
- ability to perform customer service inspections and minor repairs
Job Duties
- places stock on shelves or racks and sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays
- performs general maintenance and grounds keeping duties for warehouse and/or store
- unloads merchandise from warehouse and freight trucks
- ensures safe operations of vehicles by assisting delivery truck drivers with directing trucks into unloading areas
- records deliveries on delivery record and submits to appropriate management
- loads truck in preparation for daily deliveries
- assists with delivery, unloading and set-up
- obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery
- assists with repossessions of goods
- assembles merchandise as required
- performs customer service inspections and repairs as needed
- maintains cleanliness of store/warehouse interior and grounds and upholds the company’s delivery standards
- upholds and promotes the company’s H.O.M.E. values
