Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in service deli or food preparation required
  • Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 55 lbs
  • Capability to bend, stoop, reach frequently and climb ladders occasionally
  • Ability to operate safety cutters, knives and kitchen equipment
  • Willingness to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Good attendance record
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Mental alertness and manual dexterity
  • Must comply with company policies and legal regulations
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and lead a team

Job Duties

  • Champion company and division customer service programs
  • Handle customer relations and resolve complaints
  • Supervise day-to-day functions of the service deli
  • Conduct daily inspections and corrective measures
  • Assist with receiving, cleaning, preparing, cooking, slicing and packaging
  • Implement promotional and seasonal displays
  • Control shrink and expenses
  • Complete and monitor daily logs and reports
  • Order, check, receive and control inventory
  • Ensure proper product merchandising and compliance
  • Follow company policy on reworked and clearance items
  • Assist customers with special orders and suggestive selling
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
  • Assist with answering calls and resolving complaints
  • Implement emergency procedures
  • Schedule and train service deli associates
  • Monitor associate performance and report observations
  • Maintain confidentiality on company information
  • Perform duties safely and accurately
  • Complete other necessary tasks
