Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years experience in customer service or appropriate combination of education and experience
- ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures
- ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and general public
- ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass and volume
- effective oral and written communication skills
- high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
- commitment to company values and strong customer orientation
- computer literacy

Job Duties
- Ensure proper customer service and develop relationships with large customers
- supervise all activities in the meat department including product placement, rotation, signage, and displays
- maintain overall department appearance, cleanliness, and adherence to ordinances
- develop employee schedules, monitor performance and recommend discipline
- train employees in job responsibilities and safe operating procedures
- interview candidates and recommend hires
- discipline employees and recommend terminations
- ensure proper inspections and HACCP audits
- review inventory for product rotation to prevent shrinkage
- ensure correct shelf pricing
- supervise receiving of meat products and paperwork
- maintain accurate inventory levels through physical counts and adjustments
- maintain refrigerated equipment and scheduling
- supervise ordering of meat products to ensure competitive pricing and minimize spoilage
- ensure employees are trained on equipment operation
- coordinate proper labeling of pallets
- maintain cleanliness through regular schedules
- manage excess inventory storage
- ensure proper trash removal
- communicate low stock and out of stock information
- maintain accurate signage and flyer pricing
- coordinate merchandising of aisles and impulse areas
- perform additional duties and weekly self audits of the meat department
