Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a supervisory or management role in a service deli or similar food service environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 55 lbs
  • ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and occasionally climb ladders
  • familiarity with basic mathematics and inventory management
  • must comply with all company, state, and federal safety regulations
  • good attendance record

Job Duties

  • champion company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed goals
  • handle customer relations and resolve complaints positively
  • supervise daily service deli functions including inspections and corrective measures
  • assist with service deli duties such as receiving, cleaning, preparing, cooking, slicing and packaging
  • implement promotional and seasonal displays while controlling shrink and expenses
  • order, check, receive and control inventory to maintain quality and prevent out-of-code sales
  • ensure proper merchandising and compliance with labeling laws and company policies
  • handle re-worked and reduced-to-clear items according to company policy
  • assist customers with special orders and suggestive selling
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of sales floor, work areas, and equipment
  • answer incoming calls and resolve customer complaints appropriately
  • implement emergency procedures for equipment or software malfunctions
  • schedule and train associates, monitor performance and assist with complaints
  • maintain confidentiality of company and associate information
  • perform all duties safely, accurately and with integrity
  • carry out other necessary duties as assigned
