Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar role preferred
- physical ability to stand or walk 100 percent of shift
- ability to perform repetitive tasks including bending, reaching, and stooping
- ability to handle wet conditions and use chemical cleaning solutions safely
- proficiency in written and spoken English
- capability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs multiple times throughout shift
- willingness to work in hot and damp environments indoors and some minimal outdoor exposure
- must adhere to safety protocols including safe handling of hot kitchenware and sharp utensils
- team player mentality
- must obtain and maintain required food safety certification according to Flanigan's policies and Florida state laws
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- support fellow employees as needed
- complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, removing debris from floor
- perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, beautification duties
- prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
