Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • Capability to interact effectively with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management

Job Qualifications

  • Experience interacting with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal management

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry into the US
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs clearance
  • Enter and process various import-related documentation
  • Maintain and update shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • Collaborate with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to ensure high service levels
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Handle remote filings when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with government and company policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
