Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
  • ability to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or customer service preferred
  • ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with point-of-sale systems preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • reliable and punctual
  • basic math skills for handling payments

Job Duties

  • Complete opening and closing checklists
  • prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking using kitchen equipment
  • understand and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and restaurant policies
  • handle, store and rotate all products properly
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work and service areas including tables, shelves, walls, ovens, and refrigeration equipment
  • take food orders from guests and accurately enter orders in point-of-sale system
  • accept payment, process credit card charges or provide change accurately
  • handle phone orders professionally and collect necessary information
  • monitor guest dining experience and ensure satisfaction
  • respond promptly and courteously to any requests
  • fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
  • attend all scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement
  • promptly report safety, equipment and food quality problems to manager
  • inform manager of product shortages
  • perform other duties as assigned by manager-on-duty
