Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- four years of full-time related experience may substitute education
- ability to travel between campus locations on short notice
- clear written and verbal communication skills
- ability to present a professional image
- knowledge of safety equipment usage and proper cleaning methods
- ability to work in extreme temperatures and high noise levels
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- maintain a drug-free workplace
- valid Driver License

- ability to work outdoors in varying temperature conditions and with high noise levels
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- valid Driver License
- previous professional cleaning, maintenance, or grounds experience preferred
- previous custodial experience in residence life or college housing preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of assigned building and surrounding grounds
- clear all stairways from debris and maintain cleanliness
- clean all surrounding grounds regularly to ensure inviting building appearance
- maintain and sanitize volleyball courts, BBQ grill areas, furniture, and swimming pool surroundings
- perform routine custodial duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and restocking restroom supplies
- operate commercial cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet shampooers, floor scrubbers, and pool cleaning tools
- operate university vehicles or golf carts to navigate between worksites
- perform general outdoor maintenance and trash pickup
- dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans
- remove trash bin liners and clear debris from dumpsters
- ensure trash bins and dumpsters are properly maintained
- clear sidewalks and maintain the cleanliness of all buildings and surrounding grounds
- adhere to established safety procedures and provide a safe working environment
- order and restock custodial supplies
- perform and document routine inspections on safety and emergency equipment
- report maintenance concerns via work order requests
- proactively seek out cleaning needs and complete tasks
- contribute to team professionalism and perform other related duties as assigned
