Job Requirements
- GED or HiSET
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and disinfection

Job Qualifications
- GED or HiSET certification
- Previous experience in environmental services or cleaning preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- Competence in using cleaning and disinfection equipment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of health, safety, and infection control standards
Job Duties
- Perform complete cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, corridors, public rooms, offices, and other designated areas as needed
- Change cubicle curtains as required
- Conduct daily cleaning, room turnover cleaning, and terminal cleaning of specialty areas including Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, LDRP, NICU, CCN, and WETU
- Greet and interact professionally with patients, family, and caregivers using scripting
- Maintain high levels of flexibility, organization, and prioritize work effectively
- Collaborate with co-workers and unit staff in a team environment
- Maintain health, safety, and attendance standards
- Follow departmental procedures and standard precautions for handling contaminated patient care equipment and supplies
- Conduct daily terminal cleaning and maintain log books
- Utilize UV-C disinfection technology
- Clean and disinfect all horizontal and vertical surfaces, equipment, and furniture
- Properly remove municipal solid waste, regulated medical waste, soiled linen, and recyclables
- Perform high and low dusting and apply finish or polish to wood and steel surfaces
- Clean floors, baseboards, corners, and edges daily
- Break down, clean, and disinfect specialty equipment such as operating tables
- Move rolling stock, including stretchers and beds, as needed
- Maintain pace in high-intensity units
- Perform additional departmental duties as required
