Job Requirements
- Completion of ninth grade
- Criminal background check
- Physical examination
- Ability to complete required training by Facilities Services Training and Education Department
- Adherence to Facilities Services Policies and Directives
- Availability to work 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday and accommodate schedule variations
- Willingness to perform overtime when required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two years of commercial custodial experience
- Ability to follow building services standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain all halls, offices, shops, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, elevators including sweeping, dusting, dust-mopping, wetmopping, spot-mopping, reconditioning of floors and spot washing and cleaning of walls, doors, and partitions
- Clean and maintain all floors and floor coverings including vacuuming, shampooing, striping, sealing and waxing
- Clean all entrances, entrance walks, steps, patios, and concourses
- Spot clean and clean all exterior and interior glass surfaces of assigned buildings, clean ceiling lights and Venetian blinds
- Empty and clean all waste cans, trashcans, recycle bins, water fountains and doormats
- Perform other duties assigned
