Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion of sanitation course within first year if not prior
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication and leadership abilities
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • capability to manage emotions under pressure
  • effective interpersonal conflict resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
  • uphold food production standards for safety and quality
  • maintain hygienic environment in compliance with health and safety laws
  • ensure accurate food safety records and take corrective actions
  • manage weekly inventory updates and equipment maintenance records
  • monitor and assess staff performance to boost productivity and collaboration
  • communicate regularly with employees and participate in team meetings
  • oversee catering event preparation and delivery including evening and weekend functions
  • perform cashier duties as required
  • assist with projects assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
