Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
- completion or willingness to complete sanitation certification
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- ability to handle physical demands of the role
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
- completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
- skilled in managing food service programs for cost efficiency
- ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- strong organizational and meticulousness skills
- effective emotional regulation under pressure
- skillful in resolving interpersonal conflicts
Job Duties
- Create and manage employee schedules
- compile production packets
- supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
- uphold food production standards for safety and quality following policies and protocols
- maintain secure and organized food storage
- ensure meals are served timely and according to menu requirements
- enforce hygienic standards complying with health and safety regulations
- accurately document food safety and temperature records
- update inventory weekly with precision
- maintain records of equipment maintenance
- conduct routine maintenance inspections and suggest upgrades
- monitor and assess staff performance to encourage development and productivity
- provide guidance and support to staff to adhere to operational guidelines
- maintain a safe working environment
- cover for absent staff when necessary
- maintain regular communication with employees
- participate in team meetings
- foster positive relationships among team members and clients
- stay updated on catering schedules for timely event preparation
- work occasional evening and weekend catering functions
- perform cashier duties
- assist with additional tasks assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
